Owtons will sponsor the elite end of Hampshire Rugby through financial support for our County Championship sides; senior men’s and women’s squads as well as the u20s group. In a new initiative they will also become one of our Community Partners, which will see some of their financial support being allocated to helping our clubs and schools grow interest in, and love of, our fantastic game right across Hampshire.
An awarding panel comprising the Hampshire RFU management team and senior representatives from Owton’s, amongst other experienced people, will invest money directly into projects that cover such areas as growing women’s and girl’s involvement, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and childhood obesity and opening up the game to people with disabilities and helping older lovers of our game who may have become socially isolated, to re-engage through the clubs.
As the gatekeeper to over 70,000 people in the county rugby community, this programme has the potential to add significant social value to Hampshire and we are delighted that Owtons are supporting it.
