Girls’ Pathway & Representative Rugby
U16 to U18
The girls’ pathway aligns with the RFU’s initiatives to grow and develop women’s rugby, providing structured programs for players aged 16-18.
U16 PDG (Player Development Group)
The Girls’ PDG is for players in the Under 16 age group and is an RFU programme delivered in partnership with Hampshire RFU. The programme follows a national curriculum and is delivered by qualified volunteer coaches. It also provides playing opportunities that support the areas focused on in the curriculum.
For the programme a higher emphasis is placed on developing the athletic skills that support a player to perform and the core rugby skills needed to play. The programme forms a pathway into the Under 18 PDG, find out more here.
