Hampshire RFU is looking to recruit enthusiastic and organised volunteers to support the delivery of age grade rugby competitions across the county.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in grassroots rugby, helping to create positive playing experiences for young players while supporting clubs, coaches, referees, and volunteers.
About the Role
The Age Grade Competitions Organiser will help design, administer, and manage competitions for an assigned age group, ensuring they are delivered effectively and in line with RFU Age Grade Rugby Regulations.
The role involves working closely with clubs and the Hampshire RFU Youth Rugby team to ensure competitions run smoothly, fixtures are fulfilled, and communication with stakeholders remains clear and consistent.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and deliver competitions for an assigned age group
- Administer competitions using the RFU Game Management System (GMS)
- Support clubs to ensure fixtures are played and results recorded
- Monitor player participation and post-match reporting
- Contribute to competition rules and governance
- Support safeguarding, discipline, and compliance processes where required
- Participate in Youth Competitions Committee meetings and forums
- Help promote competitions and share results through Hampshire RFU communication channels
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking people who have:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confidence using email and online systems
- Reliability and attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support volunteers and clubs
- An interest in grassroots rugby and youth competitions
Previous involvement in rugby, fixture organisation, or competition administration would be beneficial, but training and support will be provided.
