Hampshire RFU is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced volunteer to take on the role of Adult Competitions Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and support the delivery of adult rugby competitions across Hampshire, ensuring they remain engaging, inclusive, and fit for purpose for our clubs and players.
About the Role
The Adult Competitions Lead will oversee the organisation and development of Hampshire RFU adult competitions, working closely with league secretaries, clubs, referees, and the RFU to ensure competitions are delivered effectively and in line with RFU and London regulations.
The role plays a key part in supporting participation, improving player retention, and maintaining strong communication and transparency with member clubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee Hampshire adult leagues and knockout competitions
- Provide guidance and mentoring to league secretaries
- Represent Hampshire RFU at London Regional Organising Committee meetings
- Review and develop competition regulations and structures
- Communicate regularly with clubs through meetings, digital platforms, and social media
- Use participation and competition data to support decision making and future planning
- Promote awareness and engagement in Hampshire competitions
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong knowledge of rugby competitions and RFU regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- A collaborative and diplomatic approach
- Confidence using IT systems and data to support decision making
- A passion for supporting community rugby across Hampshire
Knowledge of the Hampshire rugby landscape and experience with local competitions would be advantageous.
