T1 Rugby – Training for Clubs and Volunteers

The RFU will be running a ‘T1 Rugby Intro session’ at Romsey RFC on the 17th February 2026, and this is open to other volunteers and coaches from other clubs.

This session is to familiarise your volunteers on what T1 rugby is, how to play, and practical advice on delivery of T1 Rugby sessions. This is the non contact format created by World Rugby which we are now endorsing at the RFU.

The details of the evening are as follows;

6:30pm – Arrivals
6:45pm – Intro/Overview of T1 Rugby (inside) – Delivered by Alex Roe (RFU Club Developer).
7pm – T1 Rugby Practical (outside) – Delivered by Vicky Alexander (RFU Growth Activator)
8pm – Finish

As above, there will be a practical element, so if you are able to participate, please do bring along appropriate footwear, sportswear and a drink.
