Under 7’s and Under 8’s coach – USP RFC

United Services Portsmouth Rugby Football Club are seeking enthusiastic coaches to support our growing Mini section (U7-U9s) and are looking for coaches for the Under 7’s and Under 8’s age group. You’ll help provide a fun, safe and inclusive rugby experience that promotes confidence, teamwork and skills development for young players.

Main responsibilities:

• Deliverable enjoyable, age appropriate training sessions (Thursday evenings 18:00-19:00, and Sunday mornings 09:30-11:00)
• Prioritize player welfare and safeguarding
• Encourage respect, teamwork and an inclusive club culture
• Collaborate with other coaches, parents, volunteers and the club and wider Hampshire rugby community.
• Assist with festival preparation and match day support
• Communicate clearly with players and families as needed
• Support or assist organizing squad events and awards

Skills and qualities needed:

• Passion for working with children and helping them grow through sport
• Experience in coaching or youth rugby
• Good communicator with a positive, patient attitude
• Reliable, organized and supportive of club and RFU values
• Open to learning – training support is provided
